the coolest thing happened over my parents' house today.  my sister and brothers and i burst out into an impromptu performance of "The Message" by Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five.  We were loud as hell, clapping and dancing around my mom's kitchen.  My mom and Dad were watching us, and both of them were smiling with a look that mixed pride and love and I know they were thinking, "Yep, these are our kids."

We sang the song from beginning to end.
