Naw, you're not the only one that thinks those Amazon Gold Box rewards are bogus as hell. They're not really that rewarding. *lol*
They sucked me in. The first couple times the gold box appeared it had some cool stuff in it. Now everytime it appears it is filled with rejects from the housewares department. This is neither rewarding nor amusing.
