My Granny

me and granny on 12/29/01

At seventy-three years old she is still the same firecracker she was thirty or forty years ago. Her tongue is still just as sharp, her wit is still enough to leave us in stitches all night. My grandmother has defied time and adversity.

I can talk to my grandmother about everything, and I do because I know that my grandmother will give me the straight up right back. I especially like talking to her about men. My granny is from the old school and she’s quick to let you know. She puts me up on game all the time. I love it.

She has way too many grandchildren for me to name here. She’s the mother of eleven children including one set of twins. Today she became a grandmother again with the birth of my cousin MJ.

Congratulations Granny.
