king day

Today is the observance of Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday. His birthday was actually last week on the 15th, but in order to fit in with being a national holiday, they had to designate a day to celebrate his coming into this world so here we are on January 21, 2002.

Hope it means more to some people than just a day off from work or school.

I was disgusted to find out that there was a “Unity Celebration” at the House of Blues in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King on Saturday. It was being thrown by some guy who was also celebrating his 40th birthday. It was going to be handled by the best deejays you can get on the ones and twos. Ladies in free before 11pm with Nevada ID.

Yeah. We really went rushing off to that. It’s funny how he could consider throwing that dance in Dr. King’s name and it was nothing more than a rump shaking fest and an excuse for girls to put on skimpy clothes and walk around Mandalay Bay looking for some guy to buy them drinks.

Brothers and Sisters, I don’t know what this world is coming to.
