I stayed up really late last night chatting with leroy brown on AIM. We covered so many topics. We talked about music, politics, race relations and things of that sort. leroy brown really digs ok. I’m glad that he and I are able to be friends now, without the pretense or pressure of one of us having a crush on the other. I think I enjoy the friendship more than I could have enjoyed anything else from him. And he really makes me laugh because well, that man is crazy.
So I’m sleepy and it’s 8am and I haven’t even been in the shower yet. I’ll have to rush myself to get ready this morning just so I can still have time to go to Starbucks and get coffee before I head in to the office. My hair feels so dry right now. I am very seriously considering crossing over to the other side and getting my relaxer back. This afro thing is not working for me at all. Not the way I want it to work anyway. Besides, I rock the short cut and everyone knows it.
I’ve been reading this Harry Potter book and it’s very good. I didn’t expect it to be so good but I haven’t been able to put it down for the past few days. It’s the third installment in the series, “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” and it’s excellent. I told a friend of mine I was reading it and he laughed his ass off saying I was reading a “children’s” book. Well, it doesn’t read like any book that I read when I was a kid. I guess now I’ll have to go back and read the first two stories in the series. I’ll probably end up reading all the rest of the books too. Did I hear somewhere that a movie will be put out based on these books? Also wasn’t there a blog of note that was following all things Harry Potter? Info on these two items is greatly appreciated as I am all about Harry Potter right now. After I finish this book though, I’m going to start the Lord of the Rings series again in anticipation of the movie coming out in December. Christmas to be exact. I have all three Lord of the Rings books and I plan to go to Borders to hunt down a copy of “The Hobbit”.
Is anyone out there into playing Yahoo Games? After kicking a lot of ass in Yahoo dominoes I had to retire my crown but I’m ready to pick it back up and start sending people home again. My friend Andie told me that she has been playing Scrabble on Yahoo lately. I didn’t even know Yahoo had Scrabble but I will check it out as well. I love Scrabble. My stepmother had a really nice Scrabble set when we were younger with the kind of board that didn’t let the letters fall out or move around if you moved it. We would sit on the floor in the living and play Scrabble. That was fun. My friend Benji is the Scrabble God. He beats everyone and it’s usually shocking to people because he’s from Sierra Leone and they hear his accent and assume that he doesn’t have a good grasp of English I guess. He beats everyone in Scrabble though, including me.
George told me to write about anything. I’m going to start writing about anything here too. It helps to just be able to dump the contents of my brain out occasionally. Hey isn’t that what Min Jung calls her blog, Brain Dump? Don’t worry though; there will still be the occasionally dick story or sex story for those of you that only come to my site to read about sex. Funny people you are. I don’t even write about sex that much do I?
Ten minutes after 8 and I am no closer to the shower than I was a little while ago. I’m going to get going. Staying up until almost 2 in the morning when you have to go to work the next day sucks. Staying up until almost 2 in the morning just bouncing ideas off the head of another intelligent human being is priceless. There’s few things that sleep can’t cure; for everything else there’s a 6 shot vanilla latte from Starbucks.
