I watched Real World tonight. The show focused mainly on Nicole and her negative attitude. She was the focus of last week’s episode too for basically the same reason. in short, Miss Thang had been walking around the house with negative vibes giving mostly everyone bad attitude and a lot of mouth. She has a habit of getting in people’s faces, waving her hands and rolling her neck (you know what I mean) that makes her look like those girls you used to know in school that always talked too much shit. I like Nicole; I just wish they wouldn’t focus so much on her negative attitude. It makes me want to dislike her.
In tonight’s episode she was working on a team project with Mike, Rachel and Malik. She totally dominated the scene, made all the decisions for what they were going to do without consulting the team and made an ass of herself to boot. We’ve all made an ass of ourselves and it takes a bigger person to realize that and acknowledge it. She did, and by the end of the show she had called a house meeting and apologized to all her roommates. I was proud of her for doing that.
I wonder if I dislike Nicole’s attitude because I see myself reflected in her. I can definitely be confrontational when I feel like someone is disrespecting or otherwise offending me. I’m working on it but it has shown it’s ugly head many a time. Don’t piss me off and you won’t have to witness it. >:)
